Moving House Under Level 3
So here we are again back at covid-19 alert level 3 with the mixed signals, messages and panic buying.
With the arrival of alert level 3 the same questions have arisen seeking clarity;
Can I still move house during level 3?
As far as we are aware the original MBIE guidelines and the legal advice for moving house under level 3 still stands.
In this release from the law society: Article here
They plainly state that people can move house and that furniture movers can indeed operate to assist with moves as advised by the MBIE.
“The MBIE website notes that: “People can move homes at Alert Level 3. This includes rental moves. They can travel between regions, including using domestic air services for the purposes of moving house. All freight can be moved around the country at Alert Level 3, and moving companies can operate so long as they do so safely.”New Zealand Law Society
There is similar advice for tenants moving house on the tenancy services website in regards to moving between rental tenancy under level 3 alerts: Moving tenancies under level 3
Auckland Moving Guys was prepared from the outset for all levels of alert with a robust set of protocols to get your items moved safely from A 2 B with as minimal risk as possible to all involved.
Under level 3 we have a very high standard of protocols that means we will require more co operation, we can still offer a value for money moving service but we will not be able to offer the same comprehensive moving service that we would otherwise normally produce under no alert or covid alert levels 1 & 2.
